Review: Sophie Martin Paris Handbag Polish

Hi everyone!
Last week I just saw my bags looking old and dull so I decided to try this Sophie Martin Handbag Polish to somehow help in restoring the look of my bags. At first, I think it really doesn't work but the part that says "it protects your bag" really is true.

What Sophie Handbag Polish looks like?

Sophie Handbag Polish packaging in magenta color

Instructions on how to use can be found on the side part of the packaging

About the packaging and container:

I like the magenta box packaging of Sophie. I expect Sophie to use that because as we all know that it's their trademark color. :) The front part of the packaging consists of the product name. On the sides you can see the product description, instruction on how to use it, the net weight, and the manufacturing company. There is also translation to Indonesian language because as we all know Sophie products are made in Indonesia. When it comes to the container, I can say it so pretty and wise to place the product onto a hard plastic container where the product was sealed. You can also see the manufacturing company and manufacturing date of the product on the bottom part.

The product has creamy to powdery consistency. It is not like other creams that can be easily spread. It is non sticky though.

What this product claims?

The promise of this product is to shine, protect, and clean all stains from any leather bags and wallets.

Here's how I clean my bags using Sophie handbag polish

What I need:

1. Bag (it best work on leather bags)

2. Cloth (you might want to use cotton or polyester or mixed kind of cloth not silk)

3. Anything that can pick up the product from the container (cosmetic spatula or popsicle stick). I prefer not to use my finger in picking up the product.

4. Sophie Handbag Polish

First thing I do is use the spatula or popsicle stick to get the product from the container. I refrain from using my fingers because it will be messy and may cause irritation on my hands. I spread thin layer of the product all over the bag and the handle. Then I let the product stay on the bag for 3 - 5 minutes before swiping it with clean cloth (I usually use cotton cloth). You can say it is effective when you see all the dirt and stains on the cloth leaving your bag shiny and looking new. :)

As of now, I think this is a budget-friendly and easiest way of cleaning your leather bags or any leather materials  since I haven't tried any cleaning product for leather products before I encountered this Handbag Polish. I don't think it will really make your bag shiny but the part that it should clean and remove stains on your bag is definitely true.

Maybe if you find time, you can try this product and tell me about it. :)

Thanks!

Stay happy and healthy! :)

♥ Review: Nichido Pencils and Etude House Eyebrow Pencil (My Go-To Cosmetic Pencils) ♥

Hi everyone!

Let me just share to you what lip, eye, and eyebrow pencil I like to bring with me wherever I go. :)
I have Nichido Lip pencil in Rosette, Nichido  Kohl Eye Liner in Onyx and Etude House Eyebrow Pencil in # 2.
I think I'm not really a fan of this brands but I can say that there are some of their products that are worth buying. Ofcourse I say that after personally trying the products. :)

You can find Nichido Cosmetics almost in every mall you go. This drugstore brand has amazing products but there are still some that doesn't work for me. My advise is to try the products first, there are testers for every product so can swatch it before buying. You don't want to waste your money on products that you don't want and will not use. I love their eye shadows and pencils :) I bought the pencils in Rose Pharmacy, G/F Festival Mall, Alabang, since I cant find the shade of Rosette lip liner in Watson :)

Nichido Kohl Eye Pencil in Onyx

Nichido Lip Pencil in Rosette
Size: 0.04 oz (1.14 g)

What I like about this lip pencil?
- soft and smooth to apply
- color is rose (pinkish taupe) almost in the middle of pink and brown - good to line lips because will blend with your lipstick
- available almost on all malls nationwide
- price is SO affordable, bought this for only Php 100 ^^ not bad at all

What I don't like about this lip pencil?
- does not last long

Nichido Kohl Eye Pencil in Onyx
Size: 0.04 oz (1.14 g)

Kohl pencils are better used in waterlines of the eyes. It has soft texture and more oily than a regular eyeliner. This one is definitely smudge-proof, but there are some cosmetic brands that offer waterproof kohl pencils. Best to use if you are going for a Smokey Eye-look. :)

What I like about this eye pencil?
- soft and creamy
- glides easily on waterlines, no need to double the application, one swipe goes a long way
- has GOOD color payoff :)
- available almost on all malls nationwide
- price is SO affordable, bought this for only Php 138

What I don't like about this lip pencil?
- if you have oily lids like mine, it will definitely smudge :) My solution is to top this up with black eye shadow, any black eye shadow will do.

I also have Etude House Drawing Pencil in Number 2. One of my favorite pencils in Etude :) There are 4 shades available but I only usually see #1(dark brown) and #2(brown) shades in Etude stores. The other two are #3 (black)  and #4(dark grey). I have no idea why the other 2 shades are not available hehe.

I find this pencil so useful especially for 'retouch' throughout the day. For me, this so easy to use and I love how it define and turn my eyebrows in dark brown. The packaging is CUTE ♥. When you open the cover you will find the pencil side and the other side is an eyebrow brush. The color is brown to dark brown. I usually use it just to line my eyebrows to the shape that I wanted. I cant say it last long than 8 hrs because I usually top it with eyebrow cake powder (my fav is NYX eyebrow cake powder in Taupe and Ash) which adds staying power, using it alone I think it will last only within 6 hrs especially when you have combination to oily skin type like mine :) But no worries loves, there are always solutions to every problem, you can either top it up with eyebrow powder or put pressed powder to your eyebrows first before lining it. It will make the color stay longer.

Orders from Sophie Paris Philippines Catalog 62 ♥

<3
I've been a member of this direct selling company for I think 4 years now. I became an inactive member last 2011 and returned to sales the following year (2012).

You most probably know this company already but I'l give a brief background for those who have not heard of this yet.

In 2002, Sophie Paris invaded the Philippine market as it opened its first affiliate in the country. Putting up its first Manila Head Office in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City, Sophie Martin Philippines, Inc. (SMPI) instantly established itself as a significant player in the country’s Direct Selling and Multi Level Marketing Industry as being the company of choice for high quality yet reasonably priced fashion products.

With a wide array of French-designed bags, watches, garments, shoes, and other fashion products to choose from and offering additional 80 fresh new styles every 6 weeks, members and clients alike always find something to fall for in every catalogue. Backed by highly competitive products, a lucrative marketing plan, and efficient sales and marketing tools, SMPI’s member base continues to grow counting up to more than 260,000 members and over 100 Business Centers nationwide.

You can view their website here: http://www.sophieparis.com.ph/

I really love their bags, the quality and designs are amazing. The watches and wallets are great if you have extra money to spend a worth of Php 600 - Php 800 but for me it's not really that practical. I have the same opinion as for the watches. But again if you speak for 'quality', then Sophie is a great find for you.

Here are some of the orders of my colleagues: :)

Swell Stuff Pouch

What I got for my mom? :)

Red pouch for only Php 120

From Swell Stuff, Festival Mall, Alabang.

My Visit @ HBC Beauty Store

Hello everyone :)

I've been wanting to go to one of the HBC stores near our place but I honestly have no time browsing their products maybe because of my work schedule hehe. One evening, I happen to passed by their store in South Station, Alabang and I think that I still have time to shop before going to work because I left homes 2 hours earlier haha

What makes me want to go there?
- I heard my friends talk about how good the products are. I don't really believe them nor did I disagree with them. So I decided to find out for myself. I also heard that their products are good alternative for other beauty brands like Watsons, etc. and very budget-friendly.

Hortaleza Professionals:
♥    I can honestly tell you that I don't really know the history of this brand but I heard of this brand from my         mom way back when I was still in college.

I got the Hortaleza Professional Keratin Hot Oil Treatment in 20 g sachet.

It claims that it restores moisture and replenish protein to hair that has lost elasticity to harsh chemicals.
It also contains Vitamin E that help nourish scalp and make hair shiny and soft.

I really have dry frizzy and unmanageable hair so I was hoping this product will somehow help in making my hair more manageable.

The product was awesome for its price. Most of the time we consume expensive products just for the quality assurance but you won't regret purchasing this one.
It makes my hair more stronger and softer. I noticed less hair fall compared before and its not as dry as before. I think I only need to continuously use this product to get the best result. I can say that it is worth the money. I bought 2 sachets for only Php 20 (Php 10 each). I will definitely repurchase this one again.:)

Next product that I got is Hortaleza Professional Cuticle Remover. I'm not supposed to pick this one but I just did hehe. My only reason for buying this is because of it's packaging. I find it so cute haha.

This is just your usual cuticle remover, but I really find the packaging really cute <3 . This 50 ml bottle is worth Php 19. For me, the performance is same as other expensive brands so I probably stick to this one for now. :)

Lastly, the San San Nail Polish in Touch of Tan.

I must apologize for different views of images that I've taken. Also for the performance of my camera, I don't really know why my camera won't focus on anything at all. :(

I know this is not the first time you encountered skintone color of nail polish. I think brands like Bobbie and Caronia has this shade also but I am still willing to try this one out. I recently get disappointed on Bobbie nail polishes because it tends to dry quickly. I observed after 2nd use and the price is not that budget friendly at all so I looked for other brand that has the same quality but with lesser price. San San Nail Polish is only Php 37 and they have ranges of colors to choose from.

What I like about this product:
- does not dry easily after several use (opening and closing the cap let the air in making your nail polish dry)
- good even without colorless nail polish
- has glossy finish so again, you don't need colorless nail polish
- staying power is same as other expensive brands
- product of our country :)
- price is affordable @ Php 37

What I don't like about this product:
- you have to apply 2nd to 3rd coats to really see the color
- the shade is 2 to 3 tones darker than my skintone hehehe so I think this will more compliment people with tan skin.

Overall, San San and Hortaleza products is a must try brand not only because of it's affordable prices but also because of the quality the products offers.

You can browse their products here http://www.hbc.com.ph/

I really encourage you gals to visit HBC stores near your place, it's 100% worth it :)  ♥ ♥

Let me know if this brand works for you too. :)

Stay Healthy and Happy!

Ann :)
